BGE PARENT INVOLVEMENT

Bell Gardens Elementary School recognizes that a critical part of effective schooling is parent involvement. Parent Involvement refers to the efforts of any caregiver who has responsibility for caring for a child, including parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, foster parents, stepparents, etc. The school and the home cannot be looked at in isolation from one another; families and schools need to collaborate to help children adjust to the responsibilities of being successful students.

At BGE, we believe that a child's caregiver plays a valuable role in the life of the school and the student. Their participation enriches the vision of the school because of the breadth of experience and new perspectives that they may provide to the school. According to research, there is a link between parent involvement and improvement on a child's academic, achievement, attendance, and attitude. Parents are highly encouraged to participate in their child's education! Be an active participant!
